Martim Almeida
Portuguese pianist
A laureate of the 2025 Portugal Young Musicians Award, Martim Almeida is a Portuguese pianist with an active career as a soloist and chamber musician. He has performed in Portugal, France, the Netherlands, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Greece, and the United States
With an extensive repertoire, he regularly participates in classical music festivals across Europe and has also been part of various Scandinavian projects. Among these are ensemble concerts dedicated to the complete piano sonatas of Beethoven and Scriabin, as well as the complete Norwegian folk pieces by Geirr Tveitt. In recent years, Martim has also performed in partnership with various musical organizations, notably the Norwegian foundation Dextra Musica (Oslo), KODE Bergen (Bergen), and Antena 2 radio. In 2023, he recorded the album 'Rhythmic Journeys' for the Italian-Japanese label DaVinci Publishing, a two-piano recording with pianist Bernardo Santos. He made his debut as a soloist with an orchestra with the Orquestra Clássica do Centro.
